These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of thebeadsmedia.com, the Member Portal, and the PCLM Portal (together, the “Services”), operated by the Commission on Social Communications (“Soccom,” “The Beads Media,” “we,” “us”) of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish, Valenzuela City. By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your personal data.
1. What the Services Are
- The public website shares parish news, activities, events, and newsletters, and lets visitors donate, shop for merchandise, and apply to become a Soccom volunteer.
- The Member Portal is a private tool for Soccom staff and volunteers to manage HR records, finance requests, worship-operations scheduling and attendance, projects, and site content.
- The PCLM Portal is a private tool for members of the Parish Committee on Liturgical Music to manage song libraries, event assignments, and choir coordination.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must provide accurate information when donating, ordering, applying, or creating an account. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must consent before you submit a SOCCOM application or join a portal. Member Portal and PCLM Portal accounts are only granted to individuals approved by Soccom or PCLM officers, and access may be limited, suspended, or revoked at the Commission's discretion — for example, if you leave the ministry or violate these Terms.
You are responsible for keeping your password, kiosk PIN, and any device signed into your account secure, and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at thebeads.valenzuela@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Donations
Donations made through the website are voluntary and support the general fund of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish and the Commission on Social Communications. Payments are processed securely by PayMongo; we never see or store your card, GCash, or Maya credentials. Donations are final and non-refundable, except where a payment was made in error or charged twice — contact us at thebeads.valenzuela@gmail.com and we will review it.
4. Shop Orders
Merchandise is sold in Philippine pesos, subject to availability, and is available for parish pickup only — we do not offer shipping or delivery. Payment is processed through PayMongo. If you need to cancel or change an order, contact the office before pickup; we handle these requests case by case. Items already picked up are not returnable except for a defect or an error on our part, which we ask you to report promptly.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- provide false information, or impersonate another person;
- attempt to access another user's account, portal data, or the kiosk using their PIN or credentials;
- probe, scan, or attempt to circumvent the security of the Services;
- upload or submit content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights; or
- use the Services for any purpose unrelated to the parish and its ministries.
We may remove content or suspend access that violates these Terms.
6. Portal Conduct (Member Portal & PCLM Portal)
These portals are provided for ministry-related purposes only. You agree to keep HR, finance, and other members' personal data you can access through the portal confidential, and to use it only as needed for your ministry role. Misuse of portal data or access — including sharing your login or PIN, or accessing records outside your role — may result in suspension of access and, where applicable, further action under the Commission's or parish's internal policies.
7. Content You Submit
Anything you post, upload, or submit — including SOCCOM application answers, portal posts and comments, design assets, and song files — must be your own work or something you have the right to share. By submitting content, you grant Soccom a license to use, display, and reproduce it for parish and ministry purposes. You remain responsible for what you submit.
8. Intellectual Property
The Beads Media name, logo, and original site content belong to the Commission on Social Communications. Content owned by third parties — such as linked Diocese of Malolos pages or embedded YouTube videos — belongs to its respective owners and is subject to their own terms.
9. Third-Party Services
The Services rely on third-party providers, including PayMongo, Supabase, Google, Resend, Vercel, and YouTube. Your use of any embedded or linked third-party service is also subject to that provider's own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability or content.
10. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is.” We work to keep Mass schedules, event details, and other published information accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee it, and we do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Commission on Social Communications and Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Parish will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services. For donations and shop purchases, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the transaction giving rise to the claim.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to any of the Services at any time, particularly for a violation of these Terms. You may stop using the public site at any time, and may request deletion of your Member Portal or PCLM Portal account by contacting thebeads.valenzuela@gmail.com.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the appropriate courts of Valenzuela City.
